Pronounced 'lagga-Voo-in', after the Gaelic Laggan Mhouillin, meaning 'the mill in the valley', know for its peaty style of the Class Malt's range, lagavulin distilleries sits on the water's edge in a small sheltered bay on Islay's south coast cose to ruins of Dunyveg Castel, this is where Robert Bruce took refuge after his defeat by the Earl of Pembroke.

One of the oldest distilleries on Islay is recognisable due to its long, low white warehouses and tall red brick chimney.

This whisky was filled into first fill sherry butt #5399 on the 4th November 1991 and bottled 30 years later on 11th November 2021.
