Pronounced 'lagga-Voo-in', after the Gaelic Laggan Mhouillin, meaning 'the mill in the valley', know for its peaty style of the Class Malt's range, lagavulin distilleries sits on the water's edge in a small sheltered bay on Islay's south coast cose to ruins of Dunyveg Castel, this is where Robert Bruce took refuge after his defeat by the Earl of Pembroke.

One of the oldest distilleries on Islay is recognisable due to its long, low white warehouses and tall red brick chimney.

This is one of four single cask bottlings of Lagavulin from the In the Pink series. Distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2000. Cask #2029 yielded only 352 bottles.
