Immediately, he began to learn the art of distillation. Balvenie is one of the few distilleries still using floor malting and peating in an on-site kiln using barley grow on the distillery’s own fall, Balvenie Mains. Distilled 26 January 1952. Bottled 5 September 2002 by The Balvenie Distillery Company, Dufftown, Cask no. 191, Handwriting label signed by David Stewart, the malt master of Balvenie distillery. 70cl/45.1%
