Shinshu Mars distillery 信州マルス蒸留所 is a Japanese whisky distillery located in Japan’s Alps, it is owned by Hombo Shuzo a Japanese "shōchū" maker based in Kagoshima Prefecture, The Hombo family have been distilling for more than a century and started whisky in 1949.

They now age spirits from both Shinshu and Tsunuki distilleries in Yakushima, a National World Heritage site.

This bottle is the product of four pre-hiatus casks: American white oak cask #382 (1986) and sherry casks #327 (1986) #570 (1988) and #1068 (1990)
