ertre Rothbuch is a small chateau with 6 hectares on the southwestern slope of what is considered the finest parcel in Saint Emilion.

François Mijaville, a lover of art and philosophy, inherited 3.5 hectares of his father-in-law's property, then called Château le Tertre, in 1977, and in 1978 added the name "Rotbuch" to express the shivering of the cattle that were made to carry heavy loads on this parcel, and released it as Château Tertre Rothbuch The wine was released as Château Tertre Rothbuch.
