Founded in 1863 by Frédéric MUGNIER, the estate covers nearly twenty hectares spread over Chambolle-Musigny and Nuits-Saint-Georges.

Before the creation of the appellations of origin, from 1878, the wines of the estate were sold under labels bearing the only mention "Château Chambolle-Musigny", following the example of Bordeaux.

In 1985, Frédéric MUGNIER, son of Jacques-Frédéric, took over full responsibility for the family estate.
