Formerly this wine was known as 'Chianti Classico Riserva Vigneto Tignanello, "Medium ruby red is dense & holds its color well to the rim. High-toned, red cherry aromas overlay chocolatey richness & a hint of cedar. Flavours are of bitter red-cherries supported by fine chocolatey-smooth tannins. The wine is medium to full bodied. The acidity is mouth-watering. The alcohol is a touch warming. The finish is long & dense, opening to show high-ripeness black-cherry at the end."
