Château Fonroque is located in Saint-Émilion, Originally bought by Jean and Adèle Moueix in 1931, Château Fonroque was taken over successively by their son, Jean-Antoine and then, on his death in 1979, by Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix, who modernised it, which totally converted him to organic farming, but it was only a step, since he obtained biodynamic certification for first 6 ha in 2002, and for the entire vineyard in 2005. The estate was sold to the Guillard family in 2017.
