The estate took shape at the end of the seventeenth century when part of the Beychevelle vineyard was bought from the Duke of Épernon, Passed on to his descendants, the du Luc, the estate gradually climbed the ladder of Bordeaux viticulture, its wine becoming one of the most prized in Saint-Julien.

It is now François-Xavier Maroteaux who runs this admirable property, the latest vintages reaching a remarkable level
