The original name of the area was 'Maghellan', which came from the Gallic word 'magh', which means fertile soil, and 'Ellan', from the monk St Fillan, which was closely related to the church that stood in the grounds of The Macallan Estate until 1400. Farmers had already been making whisky on their Speyside farms for several centuries. This is the third release in Macallan's collaborative series with Lalique, the Golden Age of Travel. The famous Speyside distillery and the historic French crystal maker have worked together in the past, however never on such a grand scale as this. 70cl/43.4%
