Until the nineteenth century, the Domaine de Léoville was one of the largest and oldest crus in the Médoc. It stretched from the vineyards of Château Beychevelle to Château Latour in Pauillac. As a result of the French Revolution, the estate was divided into three parts between the years 1826 and 1840.
